Day 6 – Homecoming (6)

“So… that scary wolf girl is your sister?” Jasmine rested her head on her hands.
“For the tenth thousand times,” he rolled his eyes and scowled at her, “YES!! SHE IS MY F’ing SISTER!!!!!!!!!!!”
“Okay…” she rolled her eyes, “you don’t need to raise your voice… geez…”
“You…” he was going to start to growl at Jasmine when Nathan pressed on his shoulder gently, and put on some sort of wise look on his face, “you’ll get used to it.”

Then Ryan came in, “I checked with the counter, they left yesterday morning. Impossible to track.”
“Fuck,” his face darkened.
“Why don’t you smell for her, you guys are wolves, right?” I said, and his face darkened more… reaching the state of black.
“Yeah, why didn’t you smell for them when you first came?” I saw question marks on Jasmine’s head, and his face, unbelievably dark. *note, it’s not black yet.
“Because he can’t,” Ryan said, “he’s not a wolf.” 

“Ra…” Nikki stretched her arm out and opened her eyes.
“Oh, what was that voice?” Natalie asked.
Ok, this is what happened yesterday… Natalie woke up in the middle of the night, she walked out of the room thinking that it’s her house and you know… bad stuffs happened. Then we spent half our night sleeping on the floor of the corridor, ‘because the rooms are for the sick…’ said Rafael… how crude. So after half a night of ‘zombie-nagging’ Rafael finally allowed us to enter Nikki’s room… I would evil laugh if I was not so tired. Anyway, that’s why we ended up in Nikki’s room.
“I’m guessing that it’s Nikki’s yawn…” then I yawned.

When I opened my eyes again, I saw Nikki’s eyes popping out like a blow fish. “What the heck are you two doing here?!” and the both of us grinned like idiots. Then she turned to Rafael and raised her brows.
he smiled and nodded, “they knows,” Nikki’s face blushed red and she was going to shout out some unpleasant words when Rafael raised his arms and said frightfully, “not everything…”

Pak… something hit me very hard from behind. Damn… then… blackout.

“How?” He clenched his teeth, I can see that he is sweating… ah, the sign of nervousness…
“The fact that you didn’t realize that I’m a vampire explains it all,” Ryan looked right into his eyes, fearlessly. True, Ryan shouldn’t be afraid at all, because we are at the vantage point now.
“You are a… what?” he said, pointing at Ryan, “So it means that all of you are…”
“No,” Jasmine rolled her eyes, “we are totally better than them, no offence to anyone.”

“None taken,” Ryan said, settling beside me in the couch, “so, where are we going next?”
“I think we should go to *blah blah blah x100,” I’m dazed by Nathan’s ‘geographic talk’. What? I’m no good in geography class… don’t be classists… *roll eyes.

“Wait a minute!” Not-a-werewolf-dude said, speaking of which, what is his name?
“Hey,” I shouted out to him, “what’s your name?” totally not caring what he wanted to say…
“Huh? Oh, I’m Blake…” he replied.

“Oh, thank god you’re awake,” that’s the first word that I heard. As I opened my eyes, I saw mom and dad standing beside my bed, looking at me with worried eyes.
“What?” I rubbed my neck subconsciously, “woah, that hurts, did my neck break?”
“Huh?! Your neck broke?!” mom’s eyes widened immediately.
“Don’t be silly, the doctor said that she’s fine,” dad told her from across the bed.
“The doctor came? Where am I?” I asked. Weird… I thought this is my room… unless there’s some freaky sociopath that made a duplicate of my room…
“You are at home; hon. Doctor Prince came by just now,” dad patted my head, “he said that you’ll be fine by tomorrow.”
“What time is it?” I asked; I have a feeling that it’s still quite early.
“5 in the morning,” mom replied after a glance to her watch.
“I don’t feel like sleeping, I want to go to school,” I sat up, and I have an interrogation to carry out.

“But you should rest, surviving a robbery like that deserves a celebration,” dad said… wait…
“What robbery?” I asked, frowning.
“Good grace, you don’t remember?” mom gasped in shock, “maybe she has gotten amnesia or something…”
“The police brought you back this morning at about 2,” dad explained, “They said that you and Natalie were robbed and was knocked unconscious a few blocks away from the police station.”
“Luckily, they are merciful enough to leave your IC’s with you,” mom said naïvely.
“Yeah, and we are lucky that we are not raped…” I said trying to get off the bed.
“Exactly,” dad helped me out, “but if you insist on going to school, I won’t stop you, this is a democratic family.”
I smiled and asked them to leave so that I can change.

“Sooo… Blake and Blythe, huh?” Jasmine playing her curls, “how old school is that?” 
“Very old school,” I nodded in agreement.
“Hey! I hate people---,” he yelled.
“Cheh, we don’t care what you hate,” Nathan rested his ass on a chair beside the desk with a mountain of desert on top.
“You guys are so rude,” he sniffed, defeated.
“I assume you were going to ask who and what are we?” Ryan finally said.
“Err… yeah,” he nodded.

“Allow me to be your explainer,” Jasmine said enthusiastically as I was staring at her, “what? You introduced us to the wolves, it’s MY turn now.” I nodded like a robot… is it me or is she enthusiastic…
“*clears throat* firstly, the pale vampire guy, he’s Ryan. The female beside him that glows in silver is Valerie, oh, and she’s the lightning~. The non-stop-food-eating-dude… beware, he is the future kings of gods~ HE IS… Nathan!” the both of us smiled awkwardly to him while Ryan stares at the wall blankly, “as for ME! I am THE ONE AND ONLY JASMINE!!!!”
Blake stared with his mouth hanging wide open, “wait, that’s all?”  

We reached the school just in time. Mom insisted on sending me to school, surprisingly, we saw Aunty Christ, Natalie’s mom, too. Both the moms went to look for my teacher to tell her that Natalie and I were injured and ‘needs to be take cared’…

 I went to my classroom as usual and settled at my seat. Where’s Natalie? I looked around the classroom but found no Natalie, nor Nikki. Has Nikki kidnapped her? It was then when I realized that some weird dude is looking at me. I turned timidly to his direction, and found a total stranger sitting at two seats beside me. I didn’t dare to scrutinize him; neither did I dare to even look at him, so I quickly turned to the window. Fortunately, I saw Nikki and Natalie walking to the class. I looked, stared, glared… at them, trying to get their attention that way. And they noticed, they came to my seat and I finally exhaled in relief.

“Hey, Hay,” Natalie sat her ass beside me at Kayly’s seat, as Nikki sat in front of me. Between me and the odd guy is still an empty seat.
“I had the weirdest dream last night; I dreamt that some weird dude came to the library…” Natalie said. A dream, huh…

I looked up into Nikki’s eyes, and I got the answers that I wanted immediately, I knew her too well.
“Great story, with the robbery and all,” I mind spoke to Nikki.
“It’s Raphael’s idea,” she shook her head slightly.
“That idiot,” I smiled grudgingly.

Then the teacher came in and the both of them scrambled back to their seats while Kayly rushed back from Ethan’s class.
“Just in time,” she breathed loudly.
“Eww…” I commented.
“What?” Kayly said, I didn’t answer.

“Zsssettle down class~sss,” Madam Wads said gently, “I have a few thingssss to inform you students~ssss.”
the sound of students straitening themselves, and moving their chairs are heard.
“Okay, thank you,” she said slowly, “Firsssssst, pleazzze take good care of your two friendzzz, Natalie and Haley, they were robbed yesterday and were sssssseverely hurt,” I felt myself blush, and the freaking class clapped, fuck them. But the oddest thing is, the weird dude is looking at me, I think he is worried. Wait… why is he still here?
“The sssssecond thing is~sss,” she continued, glaring at the class, “we are having a new sssstudent, Katzzzzuo, can you pleassse sssstand up?”

Oh crap, weird dude stood up.

“Well no, I’m also the flower angel,” she stood up and turned one beautiful round, “Jasmine.”
“Oh…” he scanned through all of us, “so except for the boring pale guy, you are all gods and goddesses?”
 I think he caught Ryan’s attention, “who are you calling boring?!” as usual, we ignored nuisances like so.
“No, we are only angels,” I said.
“Awesome…” his eyes shined, “I knew the books were right!”
“Books?” I asked.
“Huh?” Nathan responded.
“Loser,” Jasmine yawned.
“Who are you calling boring?” Ryan asked, again. We ignored, again.

“So… AWESOME… can WE be a team?” he asked like a dog… doing something…
“What about your sister?” I asked. Ryan is still angry that he is ignored and doesn’t seem like he feels like talking.
“Oh… right…” he frowned, looking to the right, “we can do that too, right?” and he put on a puppy dog face. Too bad I am a heartless bitch… okay… that’s a little gross…
“N--,” suddenly, a female voice cut in, “sure!”
“What?” I exclaimed, “Why?”
“it sounds interesting…” she looked at me with her innocent eyes.
“Really?” I scratched my head, and turned to Ryan for support. But he looked away childishly. What a kid.
“I guess it won’t hurt,” Nathan said with a chocolate mustache.

“Hello, my name is Ichirou Katzuo,” he smiled slightly and bowed to the class, “You can call me Katzuo.”I can swear that he was looking at me and I can also swear that there is some pink aura all around… from the other girls…
“Okay, that’sssss all, I’ll be in the teacher’ssssss office for the day, bye classssss,” we stood and bowed to her as she leaves. Then, I felt something weird on my left, instinctively, I turned.

“Hi,” he is putting out his right hand. I smiled awkwardly and shook it with mine. Then I saw Nikki and Natalie coming to me, but he wouldn’t let go of my hand.
“Err… can I have my hand back?” I asked awkwardly blushing fiercely… what? I’m a girl.
“You really don’t remember me?” he asked. Hmm… Should I?  Then I went through my data base. Toktoktoktoktoktoktoktok… last two possible candidates, Thomas and Kanako.
“Are you Thomas?” I asked anxiously, Thomas is my first love bo…
“No…,” he frowned a little.
“But… Kanako is a girl…” I rubbed my chin with my free hand.
“You DO remember!” he pulled me to him and hugged me tightly. Okay, my heart is pounding… very quickly and badly.

“I… can’t… breathe…” then some outside force pulled him away from me, Jake and Nikki. I opened my mouth wide open, gasping for air.

“You are a girl?!” I heard Natalie shouting and as I look up, she is pointing at him… or her…
“Let go of me!” He shouted in defense.
“No,” Jake looked at him/her grimly.
“Unless you tell us who are you!” Nikki said, tightening her grip.
“I told the whole class already, I’m…” then he used some super human strength and escaped from their grips while using his left free hand to flip his bangs, “Katzuo.” And then he winked at me, smiling smugly.  

“Are you still gonna ignore me?” I glared sideways at Ryan that is driving.
*silence…
“Oi,” I frowned and turned my whole body to his direction, “Can you really resist ignoring such a cute girl like me?”
He turned sharply to me but quickly turned back to the front.
I smiled happily and turn to the front too, “I knew you couldn’t.”
I predicted his glare, but surprisingly I saw a small, and almost unnoticeable smile on his face, “yeah, I couldn’t…” he whispered to himself, thinking that I might not hear, too bad I’m an angel…
I completely turned my face to the other side with my face blushing red and eyeballs almost falling out.

“I want cookies~” Nathan whined from behind. I quickly looked back, trying to dispose of the ‘blushy’ feeling. Nathan, Blake and Jasmine are sleeping soundly, shoulders to shoulders behind.
“Aren’t you sleepy?” Ryan looked at me from the corners of his eyes.
“Huh?!” still shocked from before, what’s wrong with me? “Err… No!”
“Really?” didn’t seemed interested by the topic, he strayed away to another, “do you want to look at the sun rise tomorrow morning?”
“Not really,” finally back to normal, “I’ve seen it just yesterday, you know, with you guys… oh wait, it’s today… opps.”
“yeah true… it’s quite boring…” then he looked to his right, which is a piece of endless sea… I wonder where we are going…
“Where are we heading?”  I asked.
“You know, @#$!#$%^%^&%#@@#,”  I hung my mouth open, told you I’m bad in geography…
“Never mine…” I winced and tried to rest, the sound of the wave hitting the shore is surprisingly comfortable.
“Hey, why don’t we have a stroll in that big shiny house?” he pointed to a mansion/palace like place…
“sure, why not…” I peeked through my half closed eyes

“Why are you a dude now?” Nikki asked, I’m still ultra shocked…
“I was always a dude…” he said… but I remember he was a dudett!!!
“But you fooled our brilliant Haley? That’s impossible!” Jake said that, how nice.
“I was just being sarcastic, you know?” he mind spoke to me later, *blek, that liar, I know he really meant it…

“Haley, I think I owe you an apology,” he looked down with sorrow, ew… I saw some girls sigh when they saw him sad… “I had ALWAYS been a guy. I’m sorry, I deceived you,” He looked at me with puppy dog eyes, begging for forgiveness… Aw…
“Then why did you… why… err… Kanako?” I think I have some speech problem…
“That name…” he frowned as he rested his right hand on his forehead, eyes closed, drama king… “it trace back to a story… a sad story… a…”
“Just start with it already…” oh, Kayly came back…
“Before I was born… the doctors told my mom that… that…” he peeked from his half closed eyes, and had probably saw that we are ‘quite’ annoyed, “that… I am a GIRL!!!!”

I nodded, “so?” he turned out to be a boy, didn’t he?
“Let me guess,” Ei… What’s Ethan doing here, “your parents probably bought you female clothes.”
“Yes…” he said theatrically, “they even bought me pink underwear…”
“Well, I guess they didn’t mind that much, huh,” M2 said.
“Probably not, they are Japanese…” Kayly said.
“Huh?” I don’t understand… shouldn’t parents care? What if he turned out to be a homo?
“Japanese are fond with cosplay stuff,” Nikki said rolling her eyes, a total ‘duh’ look. 
“Exactly!” he eyes shone brightly, “but they had hurt my delicate feelings, crashed it completely…”
“Really?” I raised my brows.
“Oh… poor thing…” Natalie said, patting him on the back.
“My friends… all of them treated me like a freak,” he looked to the window, reminiscing as his hair swayed with the wind.
“I didn’t,” I smiled, “and I won’t!”
“My six years in primary school is flooded with mockery~,” oh, he totally ignored me… “But, luckily I am a man from the guts! My real self was awakened and I flew all the way back here from Japan, to show you,” he turned to me, “the real me, Haley-chan. Oh, and thank you, for being my friend no matter my gender.” Okay… he didn’t completely ignore me…

We stopped the car by the road side but didn’t care to close the convertible… they’d probably need some airing… and so, we walked towards the house thing…   
“So… are we like spying or something?”  I asked silently as we are hiding behind the bushes, from the security cameras.
“No… we are stalking,” he peeked out of the bushes to check if there are guards.
Then, he gripped my hand and pulled me away from the bushes and we rushed to a ‘sort of hidden’ wall, I was slower by half a second when we hit to it.
“Ouch, that hurt…” I frowned as I rubbed my injured arm, it’s probably bruised… you know how fast a vampire could be…
“Sorry…” he grinned, showing his teeth, guiltily, “I forgot about physical pain…”
I glared at him, “next time remind me a ‘stroll’ means ‘stalking’ and g--.”
I stopped speaking as I heard voices people murmuring, two in specific.

TUESDAY—HALF WAY THERE

Day five- Déjà vu?! (5)

My whole day just got pass me so easily. Being piled in a mountain of homework, I didn’t even got to dream… how sad. Anyway, when school ended today, Kayly and I went for our duty as librarians.

“Argh… I hate to stay back…” I protested to the sky.
“Argh… I hate it that I have to listen to you complain every Monday…” Kayly protested to me.
“Which makes us even,” I raised my brows.

We settled ourselves with two other friends of ours, Gabriella and Odell.
“Hey, Hay, Kay,” the both of them said.
“Hey, Gab, OHM,” Kayly said. Yes, you heard it right, its ohm, as in ohm’s law. Well, her name is Odell Hope Mackenzie… no choice; she’s born to be mocked…

Odell glared at her, and then went back to her work.
“So, are you guys going to the homecoming?” Gabriella asked, without looking away from her love novel.
“Yeah, I’m going with Ethan,” Kayly said while opening her books.
“Uh huh, I’m going too,” I sensed that all three of them turned to me immediately; I rolled my eyes, “I’m the hostess, duh.”

We went to a meadow a click away from our hotel before the sun gave its first shine on Seattle. By the way, we checked into a hotel last night, it’s a four star hotel, best in the area. As I walked towards the part of the meadow that’s not shaded by the trees, I halted. Yesterday I saw the sun set; today, I see the sun rise. Ain’t I lucky?

“Woah,” I wouldn’t blink my eyes for anything in the world, “it’s beautiful,” I half whispered.
“Yep,” Ryan stood beside me, “You know, this is my buds, Edward and Bella’s, special place.”
“Really?” I widened my eyes as I looked at him.
“What?” he looked down at me, “it’s true, go check their books if you want to.”
“They have a book?” I widened my eyes more.
“You might want to stop that,” he smiled when turning away. Then a sudden thought struck me, “Hey! Can we stay here a little longer?”

Before I know it, it’s time to rearrange the books for the day. My so called ‘friends’ left immediately after they have stacked up the books in their racks. They took advantage of my dreaming time and left before I finish my chores. So, I’m left to close the library, again.

I closed the door without enforcing the padlock as it is already broken. Wonder what did they do with the locks? The experiment ‘how-to-break-a-metal-padlock’ perhaps. I made my way across the balcony/walkway after that and I bumped into Natalie, she’s waiting for me.

“Hey hay,” she waved vigorously to me as I went closer to her.
“Hey Nat,” I smiled at her. Then, I saw a shadow in the classroom at the end of the walkway. I tilted my head a little to get a better look. Then, I put a finger on my lips, indicating her to be quiet. I made my way to the classroom a step after another. Just when I thought that it might be aliens, I saw a bloody palm at the middle of the doorway. Fortunately, the palm is still connected to the limbs; unfortunately, the owner of the limbs appeared to be someone I’m very familiar with.

I saw a frown on his forehead, “What…?” then he realized why… as the sun was pulled up higher in the sky; it spread its light straight to the meadow that we are standing on.
Just like stated in the ‘vampire-for-dummies’, they do glitter under the sun.
“Cool…” I exclaimed.
“This is stupid…” he said when he walked back to the shades without hesitating.
“What?” I ran to his side, “you don’t like it?”
“NO~,” I saw a wince on his face, “it’s so… stupid.”
“It is?” I scratched my head, and I giggled, “maybe a little…”

He rolled his eyes and stopped walking, “so what are we doing here?”
“I’ll need to do my job, can you watch my back?” I stated looking for animals.
“Oh, so the great lightning can’t protect herself?” he leaned on to a tree lazily.
Then, I saw something sliding down the tree carefully. Its brown-green color skin blending perfectly with the tree, the only thing that gave it out, is its hissing voice and the long and thin tongue. Within seconds, I had the dagger that was in my palm flying towards it. Then the reptile fell helplessly on the ground.

“I think you misunderstood me,” I made my way towards him and bent down to reach for the breathless animal, “I was just trying to get you some work.”

I rested my hands on its head and let the healing current spread to it. Then, not a moment too soon, it got back to its ‘feet’ and glided hastily back into the bushes.

“What the heck is Nikki doing here? Lying in a pile of blood?!” Natalie covered her mouth with her hand.
“I don’t know but I think we should take her to a safer place,” I wanted to put on my thinking cap, but the scene is too chaotic for me to even look for it.
“I know!” she pointed her index finger up, “next door, the library!” the library duh… Why hadn’t I think of it? 
“Right! To the Library!” I shouted.

By the time we dragged her into the library she is already knocked unconscious.
“She’s dead?!” Natalie gasped in horror.
“No you idiot!” I didn’t even want to glare at her. I examined Nikki’s wound, “she was shot.”
“I see…” Natalie nodded in agreement, “by a gun?”
“the bullet went straight through,” I totally ignored her, “you’ll need to press on it, try to stop her bleeding.”
“What?!” Natalie widened her eyes, “you want me to… to… t-t-t… touch it?!”
“No~ I want you to bite it,” I rolled my eyes and raised my voice, “OF COURSE I WANT YOU TO TOUCH IT! You ass, I need you to give it some pressure too!”
“Me?” she said timidly.
“Do you see anyone else around?!” I yelled at her when I’m still pressing on Nikki’s wound. 
“Ok fine…” her hand took over mine. She stuck out her lower lip and said softly, “stop yelling at me…”

Leaving her alone with Nikki, I went out to look for the first aid box… I realized that it is raining already. Luckily it was raining, at least no one would hear us… as I step foot out of the library, I saw a cloaked man walking towards me.

“I am sorry, the library is already closed for the day, maybe you should come earlier tomorrow?” I tried to put on my sweetest smile and that’s when I realize my bloody hand is not in my pocket. Then, I swear I saw him smiling, but he lost it so quickly that I thought I imagined that, but I swear I saw! I swear!

Without even trying to entertain me, he walked pass me swiftly and entered the library that is filled with the smell of my best friend’s blood.
“Hey! Stop right there!” I ran, flanked and blocked him at the nick of time. He walked passed me easily again this time. I know this is weird, but… I felt that he is trying really hard not to hit me…

No matter what, it’s my best friend we talking about here, I’ll still have to save her!

“Didn’t you hear what I say?” I said more forcefully this time, “I told you to STOP!”
he looked back slightly and I can see that he chuckled a little. Just like before, he ignored me and continue going to the racks.  

Feeling hopeless, I gave it my last run. I rushed to block his way. However, just when I reached in front of him, he pushed me aside gently. Due to my inability to balance myself, I fell on the floor still. Then, I heard Natalie gave out a shout and there is silence.

“What? So you mean you saw two vampires walking pass too?” I scratched my  head, it’s impossible, this is the wolves’ territory…
“Uh huh, you’d think I wouldn’t recognize one of those when I see them…” the deer replied to me as she’s constantly checking if Ryan’s going to attack her, “you sure your pal there wouldn’t eat me?”
I smiled, “No, he’s a good boy,” I winked at her as I walked towards him and patted on his head, “you see?”
“Cool, any other questions?” she sniffed her paws.
“Yeah, what do you think of this world?” I asked.
“My world? Adventurous,” she looked towards the direction of the town, “their world? Too freaking messed up.”
“I see… thanks.” Oh dear, what a vulgar deer…

“Why is it looking at me like that just now?” Ryan asked as the deer disappeared itself into the woods.
“You seriously don’t know?” I said as we are walking pass the trees heading to the end of the forest.
“Well I hope it’s not what I guessed,” He looked down.
“You care for that?” I looked at him, frowning slightly, “why?”
I heard him exhale, “it makes me feel like a beast.”

Just when I was going to say something, Nathan called out to us, “I’ve finished my half of the forest!” Yeah right, you’ve probably finished eating half of the forest too.
“Me too,” we walked towards them, Nathan and Jasmine, “so are we going back?”
“Yeah,” Nate replied.
“Do you think the werewolves are still there?” Jasmine asked, as we are now heading back to the hotel.
“Probably not,” Ryan commented, I glared at him.

By the time I got back to my feet, he already walked out from the racks, with Natalie and Nikki on each sides of his shoulder.
“Where are you bringing them?” I heard no reply. Instead, he fastens his pace and stepped out of the library. I quickly chased up. Opps, I forgot to close the door. I turned back but hesitated, “Argh… fuck the door.” Then I went back to my chase.

Unfortunately, when I got down the stairs, he is already far ahead of me. How can he walk so fast when he is carrying two bodies?

I tried to catch up to him by running but he made a sharp turn… and he was gone.

Hoping that he hadn’t left the school yet, I gave up the idea of following him. I went to the main road of entering or exiting the school. I waited in the rain, and fortunately for me, his car showed up shortly. I recognized him and the unconscious people on the car. I daringly ran forward, trying to stop it by standing in front of it; bad decision. Instead of slowing down, he accelerated and I had to jump aside to avoid being killed.

I fell on my knees and blood is flooding out of the cut. I looked at my leg with sorrow, I can’t save my friends… they are gone… tears are trying to escape my eyes, and it blurred my vision. Then, I felt the car reversed and stopped right in front of me. I heard the opening of the car door and footsteps heading to my way. He then walked to me and offered his hand to help me up. I gave him my hand and I had an odd feeling about this scene. “I apologize for the disturbance,” he said.

When we got back to the hotel, as Ryan predicted, they are already gone.
“Not even a note?” Jasmine finally rests her ass on the chair after hours of looking for messages from them.
“Well…” Nathan said, he is lying on the bed while chewing on his sweet, “we saw it coming anyway.”
“No,” Ryan is lying on his back on the couch, “I saw it coming.”
“Boo!!” the three of us shouted to him at once.

We had decided to stay for one more night. I sneaked out of the room when Jasmine is fast asleep. I walked out of the hotel with my sweater on. Don’t misunderstand me, it’s not that I am cold, it’s just that I don’t want to look odd, as all humans can’t stand the chill. Surprisingly, I caught Ryan lying on the grass outside. I wanted to scare him, but after some thoughts, I realized that it is not rational; he could have heard me a mile away!

I sat down beside him, “Hey.”
He looked up at me and nodded once.
“What are you doing out here?” I asked, and I grinned, “can’t sleep?”
He smiled and said, “Just wanted to look at the stars.”

I lay down beside him, trying to view the sky he is looking at, “you know, I used to stay up there…”
“But you had to come down here to look for me, huh,” still smiling.
“Yeah right,” I smiled back, and I turned to him, “what makes you think that the wolves will leave?”
“Instinct,” he rested his head on his hands.
“Your instinct told you that they are leaving?” I yawned, “Or they cannot be trusted?”
“Both,” through my closing eye lids, I saw him looking at the sky, solid as rock.

In my sleep, I felt his arm round my waist and my head on his shoulder.

“Do you know you just fell asleep in a total stranger’s car?” the man on the driver seat asked me.
“What?” feeling annoyed of being awaken from my dream, “there was nothing better to do anyway.”
“Amazing,” he said, never letting his eyes wander away from the windscreen, “by the way, my name is Rafael. Sorry we can’t shake hands, need to drive.”
“Oh,” I scratched my head, “I’m…”
“Haley,” he nodded, “I know, Nikki told me.”

“So, what are you going to do to us? I am quite sure you are not gonna kill us…” I frowned, “Are you?”
“No I am not going to do that,” he smiled slightly, “I am taking you to our medical building, in case you are wondering.”
“Who are you?” I asked.
“I told you already…” he said, but I cut in, “no, not your name, who are you?”
“That’s p & c,” his smile disappeared, “it’s not something you should know.”
“Then what should I know?” I asked feeling a bit annoyed.
“You should know that we are the good guys, and the bad guys are nowhere close to us.”
“Woah, thanks,” I said, exaggerating, “that meant a lot.”
He shrugged.

About an hour after that, we reached the ‘medical building’. “Why don’t just call it a hospital?” I asked when we got down the car.
“Good question,” he signaled the guards to carry Nikki and Natalie into the building, “I’ll consider your suggestion seriously, later.”

I woke up at the break of dawn, in my bed… odd… I saw Jasmine still sleeping, and my stomach started to growl. I made my way to the lobby. Coincidentally, I met Ryan at the elevator. “Morning,” I greeted him.
“Hey,” he replied.
“Oh, err… you brought me back to my room?” I looked at him, amazed.
“Yeah,” he nodded and we walked into the lift as its door opened.
“Without waking Jasmine?” I raised my brows with disbelief.
“Uh huh, it’s like she fainted…” he pressed on the button G. that made me wonder if he had really hit her…

“I want to grab a bite,” I told him, “Do you know where we can find food?”
“Maybe we should walk around first,” he said, “the restaurants are probably not open yet.”
I stuck out my lower lip and said, “Fine…”

I stretched my back as we reached the garden of the hotel. It’s so different from the night; the greenness of the plant can be clearly seen, even though it is shaded with the faint blue from the young morning sky. The fresh color of the plants woke me up completely, and it hit me like a wave.
Out of a sudden, with the lightning speed (hey! It’s my speed again), someone ran to us from the shades and pressed a blade to Ryan’s throat.
“Where is my sister?” he hissed.
“Who’s your sister?” it’s obvious that Ryan is just playing along.
“Blythe! Blythe Miller, where is she?”

Rafael brought me to a corridor where there are rooms along it. I saw that Natalie and Nikki were brought to those rooms but they are placed in two separate ones. From time to time I can see that there are doctors rushing in and out Nikki’s room, Rafael is in there with her too. Then, I saw a group of three came rushing to Nikki’s room. They are Nikki’s parents and brother; I’ve seen them once or twice during my visits to her house. Her parents are well dressed in black, it seemed like they just went to a ball. While her brother is wearing casual attire, like a teenager that he is suppose to be. All three of them walked pass me without noticing me.

Then, a doctor exited Nikki’s room just when they were about to enter. Worries are written all over their faces, even her brother’s aura of grieve can be felt easily, no matter how hard is he trying to hide it. The doctor told them that Nikki has been stabilized and her bleeding has been stopped. It was until then when their tense loosened a little. Then, Rafael came out from Nikki’s room. He spoke to the family and sat beside me on the floor after that. “I am giving them some privacy,” he said with exhaustion, as if he had just fought a war in Nikki’s room.
“So I’m guessing that Nikki is going to be fine?” I looked at him. I can tell that he is not just physically tired but his soul has been worn out too. I’d never realized that Nikki can be so important to someone that is not even her family.
“Yeah,” he inhaled loudly, “thank god.”
“And I’m also guessing that her families are spies too?” I looked at her door, wishing that I can see through it… What? It’s interesting…
“Not spies,” he rubbed his head, “special agents.”
“I don’t see th—,” I wanted to say but he cut in, “there is a difference.”
I rolled my eyes, “whatever.”

MONDAY ENDED

Day four- it’s a Sunday, or is it? (4)

So we made our way into the woods area of the border of La Push. We stopped on top of a large rock and wandered around.
“Let’s start work now, if we are lucky, we might get to enjoy the killer view of twilight,” Nathan said as he bent down to look into tree holes.
“Ah, fine,” I look to the left, and tried to trace to hints of the sunlight, “you know? I kinda like this place.”

I bent down and called out to the animals. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, my brother and I can speak to animals… I can only call to the ground animals, while he call to any kind of animals, name them and he’ll have them.

On the other side of the rock, Jasmine is peeking down, “Don’t worry… It’s just a big rock…”
“What?” Nathan asked loudly, “I can’t hear you…”
“Nothing!” she shouted, then mumbled to herself again, “yeah… nothing, nothing to be afraid of…”

“Hmm,” I am speaking to a tree squirrel, it’s furry and it is holding an acorn, “So you are saying that there were two cold scary people walking pass this rock few days ago?”
It chirp and spoke in its own language, it meant something like this, “yeah, you’ll never believe it, and they all have the perverted look on their face. Like they’re going to eat someone of their own kind!” the skunk beside it squeaked in agreement.
“So you’re saying that some vampires came though here? But why?” I asked.
Then, the mother squirrel came out and said, “It’s up to you to find out, I need to bring this small one to bed, the day is going to end.”
I nodded but stopped it, “can you please answer a question of mine first?”
She looked a little annoyed but agreed anyway, “What do you think of the life on earth?”
“What more can I say? Live is like a jungle…” she shook her head slightly and brought the young squirrel home. Then I turned to the skunk, “What about you?”
“Me?” He asked as he pointed to himself, “Well it is fun living here as long as there’s food… and people to scare… he he he…” he giggled with a squeaky voice.

It’s a Sunday morning… I woke up with the weirdest dream I’ve ever had, I dreamt that I was talking to squirrels and skunks… how peculiar…

I looked at my phone, it tells me that the time is 9 in the morning, and I had several unread message.

After a talk with the cute animals (I’ve decided to use my dream), I turned back and saw Jasmine sitting on the ground with legs folded up to her chest and her hand hugging them tightly, how odd.

“What’s wrong with her?” I asked Nathan. His replies were bird chirps.
“What? You know I can’t understand birds!” I scowled at him.
“Opps!” He covered his mouth with his hands, “I forgot to retune.”
I rolled my eyes.
“I wanted to say that she’s afraid…” he said while trying to reach the wild apple on the tree next to him.
“Of the height? Are you even serious?” I raised my voice a bit.

“D’yall think that I’m deaf?” Jasmine finally removed her face from her folded legs.
“No.” Nathan said, biting on the fresh apple.

“But you are an angel…” I frowned, “you live up there!”
“Er… there’s no time for tricky question all right!”
Nathan suddenly cut in, “look, the sun look so tasty when it sets…”
I looked up; this could be the most beautiful view of the sun I’ve ever seen… (I don’t know how to describe it coz me myself haven’t seen it yet… tell me if you have!”

Just as the sun is going to be gone for the whole night, I heard heavy breathings from the bushes behind of us. I turned back and dodged immediately as a large dog came into view. It was trying to attack us. At least it seems so. I quickly slipped my hands into my pouch, reaching for my lightning blade. It saw. Before I can even react, it pounced onto me and stood on me as I lie on the ground… everything happened in split seconds, Nathan rushed to me with his thunder hammer thing; it opened its mouth wide, growling; I got to my lightning blade; Jasmine screamed with fear; some dude ran out of the bushes.

He thrust upon the dog. He pressed it down and calmed it down by mumbling something to it.

He then turned to me and offered his hand to help me up. I gave him my hand with my mouth still wide open. Even Nathan stopped his biting on his apple and Jasmine stopped screaming.

“Sorry for the disturbance.”

“Hello, is Nikki there?” I asked Nikki’s maid.
“Just a sec!!!” I heard her in the background. I can hear that the phone is handed over to her.
“What?” She asked loudly… is this her revenge of the last time I screamed at her?
“Err… I sorry I shouted at you the last time…” I wanted to do the puppy dog eye but realized that she couldn’t see it anyway…
“What? NO…” I can imagine her shaking her head, “it’s just that something happened.”
“Huh?”
“Don’t ask…” she sounds miserable…
“Oh well then, let’s start over,” something must be done to change the subject.

“Hello, is Nikki there?”
“Yes, I am. Who is this?”
“I am Haley, good morning.”
“Hey, Haley, a very good morning to you too.”
“Ok, the topic today is---,” I tried to put on a suspense.
“I know,” I can actually picture her roll her eyes, “Natalie and Takashi.”
“Huh? She told you already?” I wonder how she found out. 
“Yeah, and you told me that you chatted with him on you-tube too,” she said lazily.
“Did I?” searching the deepest and darkest parts of my brain, “I don’t remember…”
“Right… oh!” she stopped suddenly.
“What?” I felt the tense.
“You are in love with Ethan?” she asked carefully. Shit… why do shits spread fast?

“You--,” I don’t know what to say first, I took a deep breath (trust me, it’s very deep), “Of all the people you should know that it’s not true.”
“Cheh, I knew it couldn’t be true,” luckily she didn’t misunderstand me, “the most you could do is ‘like’ him, not ‘love’ him…”
“F you…” I am so betrayed, “it’s not like that, I was helping Jake, duh.”
“Yeah right,” what? She no believe me? “They all say that.”
“What?” that didn’t even make sense, “Who are ‘they’?”
“You know…” What do I know? “THEM~”
“what the heck?” I can’t stop hitting my head to the wall, “oh, shit, my phone is ringing, see ya tomorrow…”
“Bye~” she’d probably went back to her misery.

“He--,” before I can greet her she cut in.
“HEY HAY, TAKASHI HIGURA WANTS TO START AN ONLINE RELATIONSHIP WITH ME!!”
“I know, I know,” pulling to phone away from my ears, “you told me already.”
“He said that he liked me so much that he had made a video for me!!!”
“Huh?” he did? “which one?”
“The one that goes ‘CHING CHING~~’,” she giggled, “Isn’t it sweet?”
“But I thought that---,” Ching Ching died in that video…however, she cuts into my sentence.
“He is so cute… and handsome… and sweet… and charming…and---,”
“STOP!!” I can’t stand it, it’s so freaking disgusting, “I am happy for you, but I think---.”
“I should go online to accept his proposal, right?” before I could answer, “I’m so happy, can you feel my heart? It’s puffing… …”
“If you don’t want to listen to me I might as well hang up…” she’s still ‘puffing’… and I hung up.

“Ooo, so you guys are werewolves…” Jasmine said in amazement.
“Yep…” he sighed, “I don’t really like being one though…”

Then the dog that attacked me just now came out of the bushes in human form… hmm… so she’s a girl…

“Rafael, why did you bring these?” she is wearing a two piece garment: a blouse as the top, and a skirt as the bottom. Judging from her awkwardness, I’m guessing that dresses aren’t really her favorite attire.
“Trying to reduce the chances of you getting mad and transforming,” he put on a ‘duh’ face.
“What? You are not making sense you idiot,” she growled.
“Think harder and you’ll know I do,” he smiled smugly. To tell the truth, I don’t understand how it works either.
“Huh?” Jasmine produced that sound. In case you’re wondering, Nathan is now munching on some strawberries that fell from the sky.
Rafael sighed and stood up. Still having his smile on his face, he walked towards her and brushed her hair softly, “at least in a dress you’ll remind me that you are a girl.”

“Ooo...” Jasmine and I said together.
“The sun has left us completely, we should go quickly.” Nathan said with a frown on his forehead.
“I agree let’s go to meet up with Ryan,” I nodded.
“Can we tag along?” Rafael said, “And please don’t ask why…”
“Sure.” All three of us said.

We made our way back to the car by foot while the girl wolf insisted on going back to get her bike, she insisted for Rafael to stay with us too…
On our journey back, I heard the snores of the little animals. I suddenly stepped on something an acorn I presume, I kicked it away. I suddenly had a twitch, I turned around immediately. I sighed as I saw Nathan holding the acorn in his hands, he was going to put it into his mouth… he saw my glare and quickly dropped it. Sigh… such insolence.

We reached the car and found Ryan standing gracefully beside it. “Hah!” I said, “I bet you have been standing there for hours just to impress us!”
Nathan nodded in agreement, while Jasmine looked impressed.
Rafael walked towards Ryan without a hint of disgust in his eyes, “Hello my friend, I’m Rafael,” he stretched out his right hand, “nice to meet you.”

After calling Nikki and Natalie, I didn’t have much to do… so I went to bathe my dog, Tiger. Just as I sprayed water on Tiger, the wind started to blow vigorously.
“Sorry Tiger, but I really need to continue…” I looked at him guiltily. He whined as his reply.
When I started to put shampoo on him, the wind blew fiercer, I kept on apologizing.

Finally, I finished bathing him, and the rain starts to pour right down. I took a rug and dried him with it. I looked at him and I realized that he is getting old; it had been 11 years since we took him in, he is like our family already… I cuddled him tightly and pet him on his head. You’ll always be my favorite dog…

We waited for a while before the wolf girl came back with her bike. I can see that she brought a bag pack, but I can also see that she’s still in her dress…

Rafael signaled her to introduce herself, she was reluctant to do so, but Rafael seems to have some power over her, and she had to follow his request.
“The name’s Blythe,” she said without looking up, “I’ll ride my bike.”

“Hi,” I wave to her smiling as sweetly as I could, “my name is Valerie!” *I swear I saw her smiled back*
“I’m Jasmine…” as the moon light shone onto her silk dress, she looked like she’s glowing.
“Nathan,” Nathan mumbled, he has several fruits in his mouth, “Is my name.” he tried to smile but he couldn’t. Too stuffed…
Ryan didn’t look like he is going to do anything, so I elbowed him. He looked at me oddly, “What?”
I rolled my eyes and spoke on his behalf, “he is Ryan.”
“Uh huh… and I am a vampire,” he turned to the wolves, “so… you wanna fight?”
“No…” Rafael smiled again, “we need your aid in our little task, so we won’t hurt you.”
“What makes you so sure that I won’t hurt you?” Ryan slid his hands into his pockets.

They are staring straight into each other’s eyes, though it looks friendly, I know it isn’t.
“So…” I said nervously, not sure if it’s appropriate to break their glares, “Rafael, what’s your business with us?”
“I thought I told you not to ask,” He looked right into my eyes, and I felt an electric wave going down my spine; it’s more of a shock, “but I’ll tell you when the time is right.”

Day three- time to say goodbye… Not! (3)

Saturday morning, it’s warm and hot and sweaty and sticky but most of all, there’s no school today… Peace, serenity and heat. Sigh, I still have to walk out of my room. I’ll never be the same~ if we ever meet again… such a nice music… wait! It’s my phone! I jumped up from my bed and grabbed my phone.

“Hello!” I said, or screamed.
“HALEY… *sob sob* I have to leave her FOREVER!” It’s Jake…
“Huh?” I rubbed my eyes, what the heck is he saying?
“Kayly~” He whined, and sobbed…
“You are crying?” I asked. His replies are sobs, “Dude! You said you wouldn’t care less yesterday!”
“I… LIED…” he cried more, “there were people around…” more sobs…
“Okay…” I looked around, not sure what to do, “What do you want me to do?”
“NO~~~ *sob* you can’t do anything,” he blew out mucus, “anymore~ it’s too late…”
“Nothing is too late until I say so!” I shouted at the phone, “Pick me up half an hour later, and dry your eyes!” I hung up after that, not letting him to say no, or cry more.

I got change into my old outfit, I was wearing the pajama that’s borrowed from Alice, too bad my old outfit looks kinda like a pajama too… a silk one at least. I went to the hall then, Nathan is already there waiting, Ryan is resting on the couch, as if he needs any…

“Oh, Val, I forgot!” he dug his head in to his pouch, all angels should have it, it contains magical equipments, “Here, I caught her on my way here.” He stretched out his hand with a small cage in his hands, there’s a pixie like thing there.
“You locked up a flower angel?” I squinted real hard and found out that it is a flower angel.
“Yeah, she was in the way…” he shrugged
 Ryan came to see too, “wow, flower angels are so small…”
“No…” I said without looking up.
“The cage is magical,” Nate continued my sentence, “It’ll shrink anything I want to lock up with it.”
“Let me out of here!!!!” the flower angel squeaked in the cage, shaking the bars vigorously.
“Let me do the honor,” I said as my brother was going to pull out a key like figure.

I put the key into the key hole and radiated some of my lightning powers to it. And it’s OPEN~ Tada…
“Finally,” the flower angel came out and stretched her back, “that… is a small cage…”

Jake came over to my house after half an hour sharply, “Hey, Hay,” he still have a blockage in his nose.
“How are you feeling?” I asked.
“Better than before…” he said, making a turn out of the neighborhood, “where to?”
“School,” I looked at my SMS. M2 had reached the point of interest, “I am going to help you to get back your girl.”
“About that… I was depressed, and that’s why I said those words, I didn’t mean it” he frowned, “I seriously think that I should just let go…”
“No, you silly…” I replied M2 message, stating that we are reaching school too, “it’s never too late until I say so.”
“But—,” he tried to say, but I cut in, “no buts.”

The flower angel is wearing a ‘one-piece’ single sling dress. It’s white or rather beige; she also had a flower brooch on her right shoulder, which is where the sling is situated.
“So… What are you doing down here?” I narrowed my eyes, wondering if she’s a spy… ok, that’s stupid…
“I hated it up there,” she had a grudging look on her face, “the people there looks up to no one…”
“True,” I nodded, Nathan is still stuffing food into his mouth, “so, are you planning on returning?”
“NO! I’d much rather to be locked in that cage of yours than to go back up and face Lily…”
“You hate Lily too?!” I opened my eyes wide open… she  is my enemy’s enemy!!!
“Yeah, I hate her so much, I feel like swearing…”
“What’s your name?” Ryan asked. It seemed like Ryan is quite interested in our conversation.
“Me?” she pointed to her brooch, “I’m Jasmine.”

We reached the school soon enough. We went to the highest block of the school, and found M2 there. She’s holding binoculars. She signaled me to hover over and look through her binoculars. I can see Kayly, Ethan and some of the other members of the club in the alternate hall, decorating. She looked so happy with Ethan, but soon… Soon, she’ll know who s best for her – Jake! Muakakakaka…

“What’s the plan?” Jake asked.
“I’m going to sabotage Kayly,” I said. M2 nodded, “making her a damsel in distress.”
“Then, you will play your role,” my sentence is continued by M2, “be the hero that saves the damsel.”
“Is it going to work?” he frowned, looking worried.
“I am going to make it work,” I said confidently.
“No…” M2 hit my head, “WE are going to make it work…”

Sabotage mission – pt 1---

“Situation’s clear,” M2’s voice came through the Bluetooth hands free device, “go and throw your banana skin.”
“ Copy that,” I walked to the alternate hall, and found that the people had all went for lunch. Accept for Kayly that’s doing something behind the wall and Ethan that is sleeping on the stage.
I peeled the banana quickly, but the banana skin fell out of place, I quickly ran to catch it, and that’s when I heard Kayly coming back. I grabbed the skin and ran in to cover. Before I turned back, I heard I scream, oh yeah, my banana is still there…

Expecting to see Jake saving Kayly and having her in his arms, I was freaked out by the scene I’m seeing… instead of in Jake’s hand… she’s in Ethan’s hand.

“Plan A failed,” M2 said, “debrief in my position.”

“I guess you are coming with us…” Nathan mumbled if a piece of French toast in his mouth.
“Can I?” Jasmine asked.
“Sure!” I said immediately, “You are Lily’s enemy right?”
“Err… Yeah?” she said awkwardly.
“So… by foot or by car?” Nathan asked, finally stopped eating.
“Car,” I rolled my eyes, “duh…”
“You guys can take any car in the garage,” Ryan said, “I shall show you the way.”
“Please do.”

He brought us across the living area and though corridors until we reach the garage. The garage is ordinary, but the same words cannot be used to express the vehicles it’s holding. There’s a Detroit 2010 in shocking red, the newest Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce in metallic blue, the newest BMW 7 Series, BMW ActiveHybrid 7 in matte black, and a four seater car, Mercedes E250 CGI Sport Cabrio in metallic silver, it shines fiercely under the white light.

“Ok, now initiate plan B” M2 said.
“Jake, do you copy?” I asked, feeling that he is distracted.
“Yeah…” he is still distracted, “I copy.”
“Now, I’ll repeat the plan,” M2 said, “when they are all walking in a straight line in the corridor, Haley you have to move, ok?”
“Yep,” I answered, “then I’ll push the last person specifically when Kayly is reaching the steps, with Ethan in front.”
“That’s positive,”M2 said, “and Jake, you’ll have to come out and push Ethan out of your way and at the same time, save Kayly, ok?”
No answer…
“Hello?” I said, “Jake, are you there?”
“Huh?” that’s his reply.
“I was asking you a question…” she sound annoyed.
“O, erm, yes,” he said, “I had something on my mind.”
“Ok, then, move out.”

“I want the Mercedes!!” I shouted subconsciously.
“Well, it’s more spacious…” Nathan scratched his head.
“I’m fine with it,” Jasmine said, nodding her head.
“Well then,” Ryan ran into the house, in split second, he came back with keys in his hands, “It shall be yours.”
“Awesome!!” I screamed and jumped in joy.
“Ok,” Nathan put his hands together, “now we have to figure out who shall drive.” 

I stopped the yay-ing and jumping, and looked at him, “I thought you had a license to drive?”
“Come on sis,” he hit my head real hard, “That was like two… hundred years ago…”
“It was?” I scratched my head; I didn’t realize time flew so fast.
“No worries,” Ryan came forth, “I was ordered to serve you, and I shall fulfill my orders.”
“Cool…” I said; eyes locked on the sport cabrio. It’s so beautiful…

“I’m riding shot gun!” I shouted immediately.
“Fine…” Jasmine and Nathan groaned.

“Now!” M2 shouted through the hands free.
I quickly came out of the corner of the building and pushed the last person, Layla. She banged into the person in front and the cycle went on, just like dominos. Finally, it reached Kayly when she’s about to step down a step, the person behind her, Cherry, hit her off balance. The paint in her arms are about to fly out. Then, I saw Jake; he came rushing to save her.

“Go back to cover you idiot!” M2 shouted to me. I pulled myself away from the chaotic scene. I heard this conversation through the head phones.

“Oh my god,” Kayly gasped, “Thank god you saved me… Ethan.”
“What?” I whispered to myself.
“I’ll save you no matter how much trouble you are in…” Ethan replied… e-you.
“Jake?” Kayly’s voice, “what are you doing here?”
“Huh?” he replied, “I don’t know anymore…”

Apparently instead of saving the damsel, Jake saved the paint, because Ethan pushed him aside before he pushed Ethan. However, I… We did not give up so easily! We came out with a new plan in the short debrief.

I stuck my head out of the window like a dog, or a total idiot, and felt the breeze on my skin. I like fast cars so much!
“Do you really have to drive so fast?” Jasmine asked; her hands clutched tightly to the door.
“Yeah,” Ryan replied, he is actually diving single handedly, “it’s a vampire thing.”

I looked at the speedometer; we are going at about 250km/h, not that fast really. But I remember that it is quite a dangerous speed already for humans, because they die...

Few minutes later, we reached La Push. “Ah, the land of were wolves…” Ryan exclaimed. I frowned, and said, “aren’t they… shape shifters?”
“Yeah, I was just messing with ya,” he smiled, “but I don’t think I should go with yall, I smell bad to them.”
“Really?” Jasmine asked and sniffed him, “I don’t smell anything…”
“Ignore her,” Nathan said, then he turned to me, “we should probably make a move, I don’t like to wander in the shape shifters’ lair after night falls.”
“Why?” I asked.
“I don’t know,” he shrugged, “it’s just a hunch.”

“Ok, we CANNOT fail this time!” M2’s voice came storming through the headsets.
“Ouch,” I said, rubbing my ears, “You don’t have to shout…”
“I have to,” she said, “and don’t ask why!”
“Argh!” Jake whined in pain, “You shouted again.”

The plan is for me to put an invisible ruler like a plank at the stairs to trip Kayly, then Jake rushes out and saves her. What if she fall and dies, you ask? I’ll say, I don’t f**king care. And yes! I’ve gotten desperate.

“I am in position,” I spoke to the device as I made way into the class right next to the stairs.
“Good, the target is reaching the stairs,” M2 said, “Are you in position, Jake?”
“Yeah,” Jake replied, “you sure that no one will get hurt?”
“No,” both of us said.
“Well…” Jake said again, “fine.”

Step, step, step… muahahahaha… she is coming… and the scream of the maiden, “Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!” such a wonderful voice…
“Jake, now!” Jake ran down of the stairs and… nothing… absolutely nothing.
“What happened?” I asked silently in to the speakers.
“She not here,” he sounds confused.
“I’ll go see if she’s all right,” I said while making my way there.
“Be careful…” M2 said.

I walked to the end of the classroom to peek at the stairs. Luckily, I didn’t see Kayly lying on the floor with a broken back, but… Unfortunately, I saw her in Ethan’s arm again. Shit!
“Mission failure, we need to retreat now!” I whispered to them. Suddenly, heard footsteps, they are walking towards my direction.

“Thanks Ethan, you saved me again,” Kayly’s voice is getting closer.
“It’s my pleasure,” his voice is getting closer too, “I enjoy saving pretty girls.”
Shit shit shit, they are getting closer~
“Come to think about it, I wonder why I was so clumsy today…” shit… they are going to enter the room… I crossed my fingers and squatted in the corner of the room with my eyes shut tightly, hoping that they will not see me.
“Actually I think I know why,” Ethan’s voice indicated that he is right in front of me. Damn it!
“Ah~,” I stood up stretching my arms, “where am I?”

“You are in the school…” Kayly frowned, “Why are you here?”
I smiled awkwardly, and shrugged, “I sleep walked here?”
“Hmm…” Ethan said. I looked at him alertly, “Were you sleep-eating at the hall, or sleep-pushing Layla earlier today?”
“What?” I shouted immediately, shit he saw! “Err… yes?”
“Real funny,” he smiled smugly, “like I’ll ever believe that.”
“It’s not what you think,” I shook my head.
“I think it’s exactly what I think!” Ethan said, and I shook my head more vigorously, “You are in love with me!”
“Wha—,” I just could not close my mouth anymore.
“Yeah, it made sense,” Kayly is talking now, “You were jealous, isn’t you…”
“Huh? Noooooooo!” I shouted immediately. E-you E-you E-you E-you…
“Then explain why you did those things…” Ethan raised his brow.
“A---,” I have no answer…, I can bail Jake out. Haiz, fine, I’ll do it. “Yes, I was jealous and I did all those things, please let me leave now, it’s a little too awkward for me to stay.” I didn’t wait for a reply and ran straight out of the room with teardrops rolling down my cheeks; that is fucking disgusting…

I can’t even dream now… sob sob…

“Don’t cry… I’ll buy you ice cream…” Jake tried to console me. That heartless M2 just left; she said that it’s too boring…
“No… no… no… no… no… no…” I looked up, “Noooooo!”

I sniffed a few times, “Huh, fine,” I sigh again, “What shouldn’t be said had already been said.”
“Yeah, what shouldn’t been done had already been done,” he agreed with me.

“I’ll take you home now…” he said.
I nodded, “And you promised to buy me ice cream.”
“No, coz you said,” then he put on my sad crying face, “NOOOOOO!”
I frowned and elbowed him, “Hey…” bam! Jake crashed to a ladder and, oops! Layla that was on the ladder fell on Jake that is already on the floor.

“Oh!” she exclaimed, eyes wide open, “You saved me!” she hugged Jake, tightly…
“Wow,” I said, “that’s easy…”
Jake glared at me, and said to Layla, “You… are welcome… err… bye.” Then he pushed her aside awkwardly, and ran to me quickly.
“Can I please get your number? Jacob Aart!” Layla shouted across the hall, “I’m Layla, by the way…”
“Uh,” he turned around, “No! Bye!”

I look up to him, “Quite a day huh?”

“You bet…”
